Congress on the Lutheran Confessions 2008
Pieper Lectures
In honor of the fourth president of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Dr. Francis Pieper, Luther Academy and Concordia Historical Institute collaborate each year to host the Pieper Lectures. These two organizations bring in various Lutheran scholars to speak on a particular topic chosen for the annual Conference. The lectures are always presented from the view of historical theology but with the intent of applying the lessons of history to the life of the church today. These lectures can be obtained either by becoming a Luther Academy member or by purchasing them from Luther Academy’s Financial Secretary: Janette Schanbacher, 149 McCleod Street, Cuba, MO 65453.

Luther Academy Overseas
The Luther Academy is committed to creating and developing relations
among confessional Lutherans in the United States and throughout the
world with the purpose of promoting the doctrine and practice of
historic Lutheranism. Since 1996 the Luther Academy has supported and
sent representatives to conferences of the North European Luther Academy
in Scandinavia. Luther Academy has also supported conferences of the
East European Confessional Lutheran Free Conference. The first ever West
African conference is now scheduled for August 14-16 in Tema, Ghana.
The Luther Academy has begun work or will soon begin work in these areas
