Luther Academy

Rev. Daniel McMiller - Executive Director

A New Executive Director for the Luther Academy

A new Executive Director, Rev. Dan McMiller, has been chosen to guide the Luther Academy into the future. Rev. McMiller comes with a wealth of experience that equips him uniquely for his new position. Having been a church planter, educator and administrator in Peru, Chile (1985-1995) and Panama (1999-2003), he has acquired insight that will assist our growing work overseas. His experience as the Mission Executive for the South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (2005 - 2012) equips him for both the administrative and development responsibilities of Luther Academy.  Prior to being the Mission Executive, serving as a missionary in urban Milwaukee, Rev. McMiller developed a theological education program for immigrant and "minority" pastors and laity with the full assistance of the theological faculty of Concordia University Wisconsin.

"With a long history of working in a wide variety of cross-cultural contexts, I greatly enjoy and am extremely dedicated to the establishment of the Confessional Lutheran Church in each and every culture and language on earth.  I highly value a clear proclamation of the Word, an emphasis upon theological education for pastors in the mission field and lay theological development. . . ."

Rev. McMiller began his duties as Luther Academy Director on June 15, 2012.  He and his wife Elizabeth (Lisa) reside in the Milwaukee area.  A Luther Academy Office has been established at Elm Grove Lutheran Church where Rev. McMiller also serves as assistant pastor.

Please remember the Luther Academy in your prayers. Your financial support is also appreciated as the Luther Academy continues to fulfill its mission of proclaiming our pure Lutheran teaching in the United States and around the world.
